Inside Bets
All of the bets found on the inside of the table are inside bets. These include individual numbers and street bets. There are six types of inside bets.
Straight Up Bets – Any bet on an individual number.
Split Bets —Any bet on two connected numbers.
Street Bets — Any bet on three connected numbers. (Also known as a line bet.)
Corner — Any bet on four connected numbers.
Trio — A bet on the number 0 or 00, and the numbers that adjoin them. A trio bet on 0 also includes 1 and 2. A trio bet on 00 also includes 2 and 3.
Basket Bet — A bet on 1, 2, 3, 0, and 00.
Outside Bets
Outside bets cover large sections of the Roulette wheel. There are nine types of outside bets.
Colour — A bet on either all the black spaces or all the red spaces.
Even — A bet on all the even-numbered spaces.
Odd — A bet on all the odd-numbered spaces.
Dozen — A bet on either the first dozen numbers (1-12), the second dozen numbers (13-24), or the third dozen numbers (25-36).
Column — A bet on all 12 numbers in a column. This is different than a dozen bet.
High — A bet on the 18 highest numbers (19-36).
Low — A bet on the 18 lowest numbers (1-18).
Other Bets
Call/Announced — These bets are called after the ball is put into play.
Full Maximum — This is a predetermined maximum amount that can be placed on any bet. (A table with a $10,000 maximum means a player can only bet a combined maximum of $10,000 on any one spin.)
Roulette Strategy
Martingale Roulette Strategy — This strategy is designed for short-term play. A better places a small amount on a standard bet (either even or odd, or red or black, or 1-18 or 19-36). If they win, they place a bet of equal value. If they lose, they double the amount they placed on the bet before.
D’Alembert Roulette Strategy — This system is similar to the Martingale Strategy. A better starts with a small bet on a standard bet. If they win, they decrease the amount they bet before by one. If they lose, they increase the amount they bet before by one.
Fibonacci Betting System — In this system, betters move through a series of bets and only decrease the amount they bet after wins. They use the following sequence.
1 – 1 – 2 – 3 – 5 – 8- 13 – 21 – 34 – 55 – 89 – 144 – 233 – 377 – 610
Each time a better loses, they increase the amount they bet to the next number in the sequence. Each time a better wins, they fall back two numbers on the sequence.
Biased Wheels — Biased wheels grant betters the advantage. As time passes, wheels and their mechanisms endure damage. This damage leads to table leaning and pockets. During play, balls played tend to fall into these pockets or numbers more often. When this happens, betters can increase their chances of winning by betting on one of these areas.
Practical Tips For Playing Online Roulette
Before playing online roulette, a better should approach the game with a strategy in mind. They can use one of the four strategies above, or commit to different one.
As part of their roulette strategy, each player should develop a stop/loss point. This is the point at which a player will stop betting. For example, players may enter a roulette table with $1,000 and tell themselves they will stop betting if their amount drops to $500 or if their winnings total $2,000.
